Bo Jackson: A Conversation With the World’s Best Athlete

In the 1980s, the best athlete ever played baseball and football…

And then he disappeared from the limelight.

He didn’t care about attention. He didn’t care about being famous. In his own words: “If I’m gonna give credit to someone, it’s gonna be my teammates.”

His name was Bo Jackson.

Bo was my childhood idol, and the only player in history to be both a NFL and MLB all-star.

I remember watching him run over people on the football field, hit homeruns on the baseball field, and show up in commercials for the award-winning “Bo Knows” Nike campaign.

As I watched Bo Jackson, my dad would be sitting next to me. Bo was my dad’s favorite athlete too.

And when my dad passed away a few years ago, I knew I had to meet Bo.

After years of trying, I was finally able to meet Bo after helping fundraise for his charity.

In today’s podcast and video, you’ll learn…

  1. What Bo did AFTER he accomplished his dream of being an athlete (plus how he dealt with difficult life changes)
  2. The crazy story of Bo being banned by the NCAA — and how he took his frustration out on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  3. How the infamous “Bo Knows” marketing campaign happened

I was fortunate to be a student at Auburn when Bo was there (and Barkley) Great times for a college sports fan. Your podcast was great and I enjoyed it immensely.

Thank you Noah!

Thanks for this. Super informative.
Loved the story of him burning his teen’s clothes to teach him to appreciate others and take more accountability. Good lesson for life!
