In today’s episode, I talk to Jim McIngvale, aka. Mattress Mack. You may actually have heard of this guy. Mack made a $9.5 million bet on the Cincinnati Bengals during the Super Bowl — he lost. You might think he has a crazy gambling problem. But actually, these are very creative marketing campaigns to promote his furniture store.
This is a man that came from humble beginnings. He started a furniture business in 1981 with just $5,000 dollars, and now it’s a HUGE business making $200 million dollars a year in revenue — he also gives a ton of it away to the people of Houston. I have so much respect for this guy.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about persistence and turning setbacks into comebacks, then you’ll love this episode.
