We Gave Claude to Every Teammate. Cool Sh*t Happened.

We were spending $56K/year on AI tools at AppSumo.

Individual Anthropic accounts. OpenAI. Cursor. A dozen subscriptions floating around with nobody sharing anything. Classic.

So we came up with a new plan: kill all of it and put the entire company on Anthropic’s Claude Team plan. $24.6K/year. Every single teammate gets a seat. Claude for all.

The Rollout

Anna (our COO – Claude Operating Officer), Emilie (Engineering Head), and Chad (CTO) worked together to launch a 3-day AI Week.

Three training sessions. Office hours. A Slack channel called #ai_daily. We told everyone: here’s the tool, here’s how it works, go.

No 6-month rollout. No committee. Just: learn this, use it for your job, it’s not optional.

The Platform Layer

The thing that made it actually work: the shared platform we built on top of the team account.

Claude’s Team plan gives everyone a seat. But we built the distribution layer ourselves: shared plugins that sync, so when someone builds a skill or automation, it deploys to every teammate automatically via Github.

The Cool Shit

Deal of the day in 60 seconds. Used to take 25 minutes: inspecting HTML, matching hex colors, writing copy, uploading to our CMS. Now Dusty runs a Claude skill that hits our API, builds the entire homepage highlight card, and pushes it to admin. One command. Sixty seconds. Live.

Full product detail pages in 2 hours. Chad built an entire Deal Page Setup as a Claude skill. It scrapes the product’s site, generates all the copy, pulls logos, and formats it. Record what a human does, turn it into a skill, run it from Claude.

BD team runs everything from one screen. Andrew built a plugin connecting HubSpot, Slack, Gmail, Google Drive, Granola, and web search. His morning workflow skill checks email, ranks priorities, and drafts responses before he opens a browser. Meeting prep, deal structuring, pipeline management, partner pitches, all from Claude. His goal: never leave the app during the workday.

Our CMO built six skills in one week. Ilona went from learning Cowork to shipping a partner promo playbook, a performance dashboard, a deal ranking skill (so marketing no longer waits on BD for email prioritization), a FOMO lever report, a Deal of the Day draft, and a smart collections builder. Meanwhile, Lyndsay (our marketing PM) automated the percent-off deals workflow down to 12 seconds of human effort. The email team is building their own skills now too.

Finance runs software audits from terminal. Angelina, our payroll specialist, had never used terminal before AI Week. She built a Claude skill that writes directly to Google Sheets via a custom connector. Turned a biannual manual audit into a monthly automated one.

Ambassador program automated so hard she hit the usage limit. Our ambassador team started automating workflows in Claude and within two weeks was using it so heavily our team had to request a higher plan tier. That’s the signal you want: someone maxing out the tool because it’s actually saving them hours.

What’s Actually Happening

Non-technical people are building automations. An account manager asked in #ai_daily how to build a webhook listener that fires when a HubSpot deal hits a certain stage. Within an hour, four engineers jumped into the thread and helped him architect it. He’d never written a script before. That’s the culture now.

The Slack channel is the secret weapon. #ai_daily has been active every single day since launch. People share workflows, troubleshoot, teach each other. The learning is horizontal, not top-down.

The Numbers

  • $56K/yr to $24.6K/yr (saved $32K)
  • 3 weeks to full adoption

We’re three weeks in: Support automation, AI outbound, and full deal admin migration are all in active development. Things that take 7-figures in cost or 14 days of work are now being done for a few thousand dollars a month and in minutes.

This reads like an ad for Claude but really it’s been insane how much time we can save our team and focus more on promoting dope software.

Love to hear how others are implementing AI (Claude / Codex) across their company.
