What if I told you that the best way to become a millionaire during this crypto revolution is not to invest in crypto… but to start your own crypto company?
You don’t even need to be a genius programmer OR quit your job.
Take Ashish Singhal for example. In 2017, he started CoinSwitch as a side hustle while he was working for an interior design company. Today, CoinSwitch is valued at $1.9 Billion dollars.
Not bad, hey?
In this post, I’m going to share 9 cool crypto company ideas I see out there.
There’s a few of these that I’m surprised more people aren’t already doing…
Let’s jump into it!

9 Crypto Company Ideas You Can Start as a Side Hustle
Crypto Company Idea #1: Selling USB Wallets
For Halloween I thought it’d be really cool to give all the kids in my neighborhood flash drives with $1 of crypto on them.
But it turns out that flash drives are kinda hard to get. And putting crypto on pieces of paper is actually really tough.
So I thought, man… There’s got to be a better way to do this.
Like when you go to the grocery store and they have all those gift cards for places like iTunes and Starbucks and Amazon. What if they had gift cards (or USB sticks) with crypto on them?
It would make it super easy to give out to friends, or to your employees as gifts.
How would I start this crypto company today?
What I would personally do is text, call, or maybe even post on social media and find out if any of my friends want physical paper or USB gift cards to give out as crypto and if I could actually make any sales first.
Then I would go to Alibaba or wherever I could find USB keys and I would actually start making them myself and selling them. From there, I would transition to Shopify and actually start expanding and see if I could do something bigger.
Now, the big thing here is to find customers first because that is always going to be your hardest thing. Do that before you try to scale out your business.
Don’t build out your business until you have customers.
That’s the key.
Crypto Company Idea #2: Become a Crypto Financial Advisor
This is pretty straightforward… A financial advisor, but for crypto.
Crypto is so new and there’s so much information out there, I bet a ton of people would pay an expert to manage their investments for them.
I know I would love it if there was a crypto consulting firm or advisory group out there that’s specifically focused on crypto.
How would I start this crypto company today?
The first thing I would do is study.
I would go to TheBlock and subscribe to their newsletter and learn everything they’re talking about. I would also go on Twitter and see what everyone is talking about, especially people like Anthony Pompliano and whoever you can find that’s talking about crypto. I would even check me out too.
The second thing I would do is invest my own money.
I don’t think you need to be investing millions of dollars to be successful at this. I would take a thousand dollars and really start experimenting with wallets and different coins and understand what kind of returns you get from different coins and what the risks are.
Once you have a decent understanding, I would go ask friends: hey, invest a thousand dollars with me and if you lose any money I’ll cover you.
It’s a no-brainer.
That’s how you can start building up trust and clientele.
From there I would slowly try to get more people one by one through word-of-mouth referrals and my own network.
Crypto Company Idea #3: Start an NFT Index Fund
This crypto side hustle sounds kind of complex, but stick with me for a second and I’ll show you how anyone can get started with this…
If I think about how I invest in stocks, 90% of it is in an index fund. So why aren’t there people doing that with NFTs?!
If you buy one Cryptopunk, you get huge swings whether it goes up or down. But if you buy an index fund of a bunch of different NFTs then it actually reduces your risk. So having a fund could give you a better return.
How would I start this crypto company today?
Lemme give you an example…
There’s this guy, he’s like 16. His name is Shamdoo.ETH and he basically started kind of doing this… but he hasn’t really positioned it as an NFT index fund.
If you buy one of his HeadDAO NFTs (and this is not me endorsing it), or even if you just contribute to one of his NFTs, he’ll buy different things with the money that everyone puts in and then everyone who co-owns the NFTs gets a little piece of the purchases back.
Personally, I think an even simpler way of doing this is to get 5 or 10 of your friends to give you $500 or a $1000 bucks each. Then you’ll have a $5000 pool and everything that you buy with it can just be split amongst your friends, versus you taking all the risk.

Crypto Company Idea #4: Become a Crypto Teacher
So, let me tell you a quick story…
There’s a guy named Squish who I actually got to meet. He was a pretty broke-ass college student that was really into crypto (probably like a lot of you guys out there) and he actually started doing super in-depth reports about Ethereum and they were so phenomenal that people are now paying for his opinion now.
How would I start this crypto company today?
What I would do is figure out what I can do that is offline.
Like without setting up a website or doing anything complicated.
What’s the easiest thing I can do to get this going?
Can I set up something on Meetup? Can I do a Zoom meeting for maybe my church or synagogue or employees or colleagues at my work?
If that ends up working out, try to create a course on a very specific subject.
I have a friend, Catheryn Lavery (Little Might on YouTube), and she actually finds out all this weird-ass DeFi stuff and then she teaches it to other people. I think she sells like 500 courses pretty regularly and I’ve heard really positive things about her course.
I’m not endorsing it, but I’m just trying to show you an example of how if you can find a specific niche, you can create courses and products around that. There’s so much information out there that you can actually consolidate it into your own space.
Another way you can get really unique information so that you can be a crypto teacher is… go on Reddit!
Just like how big hedge funds actually use /r/wallstreetbets data to make investing decisions, you can go to /r/cryptocurrency, /r/crypto, /r/solana, /r/ethereum, etc. and get early access to information that people who aren’t following crypto as closely wouldn’t know. You can learn a lot this way.
Crypto Company Idea #5: Track Crypto Whale Transactions
Please someone make this!!
This is an idea that I personally want to invest in if one of you Underdogs out there can get this off the ground.
The really cool thing about crypto is that every transaction on the blockchain is public. So it’s possible to track what some of the best investors in the space are putting their money behind.
But NO ONE is really doing this right now.
And it’s such a big opportunity.
There’s a guy, Josh Buckley. He’s a Silicon Valley kinda famous dude. And he was really early on Chain Runners.
Same with Dylan Field.
And you can actually see everything they do. Every crypto investment they make.
When I figured this out, it made me think… If you could copy Warren Buffett’s stock trades, would you?
How would I start this crypto company today?
There are some sites that are kind of doing this like the site Context.app, which is pretty interesting. It’s kind of like a Pinterest for crypto.
And then there’s another site, Nansen.ai. They just raised $75 million dollars in funding and it’s literally the same exact idea.
So for me, I think there’s really something huge about the fact that it’s public and you can find these huge wallets on the blockchain, and you can start tracking them and start copying them.
If you’re thinking: Well I’m not technical, how do I get this started?
You can do it manually.
You can literally ask people, hey, do you want to pay me $5 a month, I’m going to track the five biggest holders of Cryptopunks or Bored Apes or Ethereum people or Solana people? And all you have to do is go to their pages and refresh it.
Keep it simple.
I’m talking real simple here.
You don’t have to be technical to do this. And once you can get enough people actually interested in subscribing and paying you to do this, that’s when you can go on Fiverr or Upwork or Freelancer and get someone to actually help you build this out and make it a real product.
Crypto Company Idea #6: Start a Crypto Tax Accounting Service
With this next crypto company idea, you could be collecting a huge paycheck by the end of April this year… And that’s by starting a crypto tax accounting service.
Tax season is just around the corner and it’s going to be a nightmare for people who’ve been dabbling with crypto. People barely know how crypto works, do you think people know the ins and outs of crypto tax?
Probably not.
A lot of people are going to be looking for advice and that’s the perfect opportunity to start a side hustle around it.
How would I start this crypto company today?
First of all, no. You don’t have to be an accountant to do this.
I know that’s what you were all thinking, admit it!
What you can do instead is find tax accountants that are knowledgeable about crypto and put up a simple landing page describing your offer and direct ads to it to get people to sign up.
Connect the people who need help with the accountants that can help and collect a referral fee.
Once you’re up and running you can start thinking about how to turn this into a tax software.
Crypto Company Idea #7: NFT Authentication
This is a service I would have liked to use before I got scammed 3 times.
I went on a phony ChainRunners site, bought an NFT, and turns out it wasn’t even legit.
Yep, even crypto geniuses like me fall for scams sometimes.
That’s why it would be great if there was an NFT authenticator site that you could check first before you go and invest in one.
Just like PSA verifies baseball cards and Sotheby’s and Christie’s authenticate art, there could be an NFT authentication firm making sure people don’t get scammed.
And yes, I already know what you’re saying.
“Noah, it’s on the blockchain. It’s already verified!!!”
But it’s still hella confusing!
So I would love to just go to a site and say, hey, I have an NFT I wanna buy, can I pay you $1 or $5 of whatever to check it out and see if it’s real?
How would I start this crypto company today?
Again, you could start this crypto company off in a pretty simple way.
Just set up a website with a chat and people can communicate with you to verify their NFT that way. The more clients you get, you could integrate with a big marketplace like OpenSea to verify directly on their website.
Crypto Company Idea #8: Start an Insurance Company for NFTs
People like to insure the things they invest in.
People insure their Picassos. They insure their Rolexes. They even insure their wine cellars… So why wouldn’t they insure their NFTs?!
NFTs sometimes go missing. Just like we’ve all lost a document or a file on our computer, sometimes NFTs go missing because of a broken link or someone hacked your account or there’s a smart protocol failure.
There’s a lot of crazy things happening out there.
And since people invest a bunch of money in these things, I’m sure they’d like to lessen this risk a little bit by insuring their NFTs.
How would I start this crypto company today?
Insurance companies are slowly starting to establish themselves in the crypto space (like Nexus Mutual, Cover Protocol, Insured Finance and Tidal Finance) but there isn’t any big player in the NFT space yet.
If I were to start this crypto company, I would probably call my insurance guy first or I would call the people at State Farm and ask if there’s anyone I can talk to about this idea. I’d ask them what they recommend and see what they have to say about it.
Reach out to people who are already in your network, or people who are willing to help you, and get their help. Remember to start small and get customers first before you start scaling up.
Crypto Company Idea #9: Crypto Gambling
I have a friend who’s a crypto investor and he mentioned a new site where you can gamble online with Solana. Plus, if you own an NFT of that website, you also get a part of the proceeds.
So I went to the website (I’m not going to mention it, it was super crappy) but it was an eye-opener.
Crypto gambling is going to be gigantic.
I think it’s such an interesting opportunity because there’s no universal restrictions. There’s no government telling people what they can or can’t do.
And let me be clear: Me losing $1 in a Vegas casino is a nightmare. I hate nearly all forms of gambling. BUT… when you introduce crypto, no universal restrictions and quick payment methods, it removes the friction that the current gambling industry faces.
There’s a lot of restrictions with payments because Visa and Mastercard won’t allow it. But now with crypto and universal payments being accepted, it makes it easier
I think it’s a gigantic opportunity for a few people to start and there’s definitely going to be some massive disruptions within this industry because of crypto.
