A week ago I started an Austin Experiences business in 48 hours and generated $6k revenue.
After it was all over, I was struck by how many great friends I have and how fortunate I am. (Of course, I’ve had my fair share of disappointments and have dealt with depression too.)
Just thinking about all the great people I have in my life, I was hit by an amazing wave of gratitude and appreciation.
I have a lot of friends in my life that watch over me. Lloyd from Ownlocal.com who always has my back. Or Dave from the post “The best cold email I’ve ever received” who has been extremely supportive and encouraging.
While traveling, so many people offered to show me places in Thailand or buy me tacos in their local cities (always appreciated). Jon Friedman and Edmund Lowman gave Neville and me the best tours around Thailand.
Recently at AppSumo we launched SumoMe.com which is a free toolkit for growing your website. More than 2 million people have viewed the plugin and nearly 2,000 are actively using it on their sites.
Many of the downloads are the results of relationships with fellow entrepreneurs and business owners. That includes the always great Ruben of Bidsketch, Maneesh of Pavlok, Devin Reams and so many more.
I continue to meet great new friends like Eric Barker of Bakadesuyo who I felt instantly connected to because of our witty email conversations.
I’m grateful to be able to work and travel with the full-support of the unbelievable Appsumo team: Arielle, Anton, Chad, Damian and Eric.
My family is consistently supportive. Yes, I have been very annoyed with my Jewish mother at times but she’s the most consistent person I know 🙂
Daniel at Satchel-Page for being awesome to donate a bag to an OkDork reader and buying a ticket to the atxme events above. And the many other awesome folks who have done sweet, unbelievable giveaways on OkDork.
And then I have amazing readers like you tell me how a particular post (or Excel sheet) helped you in your business. You make my day with comments on Twitter, Facebook, and on the blog.
As a way of saying thanks and “I love you too”
50 OkDork readers will get a 5-Pack of Cord Tacos and 5 readers will get a Cargito iPad Charging case.
What’s a Cord Taco? I’m glad you asked. 🙂 Mike Macadaan has an incredible story about how he came up with the idea, made the first taco, started selling on Etsy, got tons of press on blogs, and then–within a year–started selling the Cord Taco in Apple stores.
I highly recommend reading his post on Medium about his journey and how he used bloggers and social media exclusively to get customers.
Mike (and his new company This Is Ground) just launched a new product — the Cargito iPad Charging case — on Kickstarter yesterday.

I’m so late to Valentine’s Day it’s ridiculous. I gave my girlfriend a chocolate flower.. I wish I had one of those cord tacos though..
My wife and I did the big VD the way we usually do–we stayed home and we didn’t really buy anything. Our anniversary is at the end of the month and we feel that is a much more significant holiday.
Glad to hear about a happy Noah!
My wife and I spent Valentine’s Day driving our wonderful son to a gymnastics meet … so I got to experience some great family love. 🙂
My valentine’s day was spent with my lovely lady, whom I have been with exactly one year. I have been telling her all about Appsumo, Patt Flynn, and other entrepreneurs to fire her up!
I like sail boats first. Then tacos. Keep on keeping on Noah!
Loving the taco cord holders! Another brilliant idea!
I love myself. I love life. I love today. I love tomorrow. I love this blog. I love the emails Noah sends. I love that he genuinely wants to help others. I love that I can see progress as to the movement of my business and my life. I love that Im getting closer to my goals. I love that there is an education movement happening, and together, we are elevating consciousness and all receiving everything that we deserve.
Thank you Noah. Not for the cord taco or any of that. For teaching me so much about myself and pushing me to dig deeper and strive further. You’re an incredible person and that’s why you are surrounded by such a great support network.
People love helping out good people and I believe good things happen to people who seek it out. So keep doing what you do.
I love my family for their love and support. No matter how tough it goes, they always manage to make it better.
This Valentine’s day, in snowy Boston, I love people who shovel their sidewalks!
This V-day weekend, I’m lovin’… the love of my life who I’m marrying in July (OMG!), plus his family who’s always been so supportive, my good friends who make Minneapolis feel like home, my mentors who kick my ass, my mentees who are kicking ass, all of my amazing clients who I write for, and the writers who I edit… and everyone who’s helped me along the way. Also all of my BJJ teammates and coaches who work with me day in and day out. And my neighbor who snow blows our part of the sidewalk, and the anonymous neighbors who helped me push my car out of the snownami in -10 degree weather.
On this Valentine’s day I am filled with gratitude for all the amazing people in my life that I love. My partner, my son, my parents, my brother, my amazing friends, the fabulous people I am meeting through my Business adventure ~ Mindfully Organized. My heart seems to grow each year to have room for more and more awesome people. Can’t wait to see who I meet in 2014! Noah if you are ever in Seattle I would be happy to buy you a taco. 🙂

EDIT: in addition to my last comment (so I’m eligible for the prize!) – of course loving the iPad Mini case, but always loving my family and girlfriend!
Awesome work Noah! I met you over a taco in Melb last year, and have since really enjoyed following your blog and kick-ass marketing style (I actually didn’t have much clue on your background when I met you at that dinner!). Keep smashing it mate 🙂
Hey Noah. I like this case, very nice. [Would love to see a vegan/animal friendly version.]
Anyhoo, I *spent* (in Australia, we live) my V day with my fiancee (married in 2 weeks time) and we swapped vows.
Sweet-as,
Tim
I love my wife and best friend of 22 years
Shout out to my kids – Shelby and Garrett – this Valentines Day! I love you both (and that’s forever!)!
Love the product! hope I win because i’m tangled in a web of wires and need to go pee. Ps. Have an amazing time in Thailand! Don’t forget to find and try the Mango Sticky Rice (BEST!)
I love my family, friends, and my wonderfully supportive boyfriend, Brian. I feel like you…supported, loved, and cared for. So grateful. 🙂 Thanks so much for the reminder Noah.
This Valentine’s Day, I love my brother. Although he’s 2 years younger and the frattiest Asian that ever lived at UT, he’s incredibly strong and inspires me to be better. He’s 0.5 the reason why I want to be a doctor and part of why I’m going to A&m Med this fall.
Haha. Fatty Asian. Have you told him how much he inspired you?
“Fatty”? try “Fratty” haha
