Life advice from one of my all-time favorite authors

In today’s episode, I talk to one of my all-time favorite authors Donald Miller.

I’ve spent the last 2 years trying to get him on the show, and we finally made it happen!

Combined, Don’s books have spent more than a year on the New York Times Bestsellers list. His books include: Blue Like Jazz, A Million Miles in a Thousand Years, and Scary Close.

Don is also the CEO of StoryBrand, a marketing company that helps organizations like Charity Water, Berkshire Hathaway, and Chick-fil-A clarify their brand message.

Here are 3 things you’ll learn in this episode:

  1. What it means to live a life full of ‘Hail Marys’ and why it’s the only path to living an interesting life
  2. How you can create meaning in your life, especially if you’re going through a tough time
  3. The mindset you need to develop if you want to write a bestselling book

If you enjoy listening to the podcast, I would really appreciate it if you left a review on iTunes to help more people find out about it. I might shout you out in the next episode!

This episode was twelve-out-of-ten! What I really appreciated from Donald and Noah is their level of vulnerability in this episode. Both Donald and Noah speak about things that have gone well in their lives and their work in progresses. Keep the good times rollin’!

Noah, that was one of the most impactful things I’ve listened to. I just got his “A Million Miles…” book and am putting Victor Frankl’s book on top of my reading list. Such a lovely story he shared about taking Betsy on a date. And his navel gazing into nihilism is brilliant and highly practical advice to GET MOVING and make more Hail Marys.

Had to listen to this podcast again because there was so much good information, concepts and ideas to take away from. Inspired me to write them down. Appreciate your honesty. I think you ask the best questions than any other podcast hosts I listen to on the daily and I listen to all the popular ones.
